Hammond inks with Missouri Southern

The Crest USD 479 school district announced on its Twitter account Wednesday that Fort Scott Community College running back Kyle Hammond, a Crest graduate, has signed to continue his college football career at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.

Hammond was a backup most of his time at FSCC. However, he did start several games in his two seasons as a Greyhound. He finished eighth in the Jayhawk Conference as a freshman in 2013 with 481 yards on 84 carries and scored five touchdowns. Last season, Hammond ran for 249 yards on 72 carries and scored once.
