FSMS 8th girls wrap up season

Fort Scott Middle School's eighth-grade girls' basketball teams finished up their seasons against Parsons Monday evening at the FSMS gymnasium.

The "A" team lost, 28-17, as Parsons outscored the Tigers 3-9 in the fourth quarter to widen the margin. Abby Humble scored 6 points and brought down 11 rebounds.

The "B" team finished up with a 16-13 victory over Parsons. Kelcie Bailey scored 6 points for the Tigers while Brooklyn Sheehy had 4. Lexi Bryant grabbed 8 rebounds.

The seventh-grade teams also played Parsons. Their results will be published when they become available.

FSMS boys teams began practice for the upcoming season on Tuesday. Their first games will be at Pittsburg on January 8.
