FSMS swept at Royster

CHANUTE -- Fort Scott Middle School's girls' basketball teams were swept by Chanute-Royster here Thursday.

The seventh-grade "A" team lost 22-17. Tacy Holston led the Tigers with 9 points.

The eighth-grade "A" team fell to Royster, 30-27. The Tigers trailed 20-12 at the half. Abby Humble led with 8 points and 8 rebounds. The eighth-grade "B" team fell 10-12 despite an 8-2 rally in the fourth quarter. Kelcie Bailey had 4 points while Brooklyn Sheehy grabbed 5 rebounds.

The eighth-grade "A" team plays in a tournament at Parsons today. All four teams will conclude season play at home against Parsons on Monday.
