Keith Raymond Needham

Keith Raymond Needham, age 69, Mound City, Kan., passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He was born on the family farm near Mapleton on Jan. 30, 1945, the son of Alvin and Lucy Smith Needham. He graduated from Blue Mound High School and received a bachelor's degree in education from Pittsburg State University. He married Margaret Jarrett on Aug. 1, 1970 at Smithfield, Mo. Keith was employed by Pleasanton USD No. 344 for his entire teaching career. He was a member of the Mound City Christian Church and the Richland Grange. He enjoyed fishing, wood carving and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Arthur Needham, and a sister, Patricia Williamson. He is survived by his wife Margaret, two sons, Travis Needham, and Seth Needham and wife Denise, a daughter Kelsey Dancause and husband Numa, three sisters: Helen Long, Hazel Kuhn, and Clarice Russell, and three grandchildren: Elora and Nohan Dancause and Robert Needham.

Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at the Mound City Christian Church. Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
