Eagle JV golfers take first three spots, team title

PITTSBURG -- Uniontown golfers took the top three spots in the Raider Rookie Invitational, hosted by Frontenac here Wednesday.
Frontenac and Fort Scott, both Class 4A programs, entered junior varsity teams. The Eagles brought a mix of varsity players and newcomers.
The Eagles shot 213 while Frontenac finished at 238. Fort Scott was not eligible for a team score as it brought just three players.
Kaylyn Crystal shot a season-low 45 in winning the tournament. Draven George also shot a season-best score of 52 in taking second place on a scorecard playoff from teammate Laryn Thompson, whose score was also a season best.
Tori Reed finished with a 64 for Uniontown, good for ninth place. Kaitlyn Simpson shot an 80 to finish 12th.
