Advance tickets available for Fort Scott Idol

Admission is free to the Good Ol'Days festival again this year but some events which are part of it require an admission fee. Tickets are available for Fort Scott Idol which is on Thursday, June 5 at 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall. This popular event is now in its ninth year and attracts singers from all over the area.

The popular Good Ol' Chicken Dinner will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. held on Friday, June 6. Tickets are $7 which includes Chicken Mary's chicken, two sides, and bread. The dinners will be available at Wall Street between Scott and Main and drive-up service is also an option.

New this year is the Bourbon County Brawls. The MMA fights will feature local fighters as well as a heavyweight championship title fight. This event will take place Saturday, June 7 at Memorial Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fights begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30-stadium seats, $35-VIP seats, $50-VIP tables and can be purchased at cagetix.com/bfc, Sharky's Pub & Grub in Fort Scott, Holmtown Pub in Fort Scott, or from Wendell Davis at (620) 223-4977.

Tickets for Fort Scott Idol are $3 (5 and under are free) and are available at Country Cupboard. The Good Ol' Chicken Dinner tickets can also be purchased at Country Cupboard. The festival website is fortscottgoodoldays.com and the 2014 schedule of activities are posted on it.
