Nick Reynolds led Uniontown's varsity golf team with a fifth-place 85 as the Eagles hosted their home golf tournament at Woodland Hills Golf Course Thursday afternoon. The Eagles finished fifth as a team.

"Nick put together his personal best round," Uniontown head coach Jason Tourtillott said. "He has been on the verge of breaking 90 for several tournaments and today on our 'home course,' he was finally able to do it. I hope he can keep making improvements and consistently shoot scores in that range."

Jonathan Wheeler shot 99 for the Eagles with Dalton Clifton finishing at 105, Cole Rockhold 118 and Kalen Simpson at 119 in his first varsity outing.

"Our other players had some great holes and showed a lot of improvement but we've got to be able to keep it together for 18 holes," Tourtillott said.

The Eagles finished with a team score of 407. Erie was the team champion with a 362 with Jayhawk-Linn 2 strokes behind in second place. Oswego was third at 366.

Reece Dawson of Jayhawk-Linn was the individual champ with a 78. Robbie Sellman of Humboldt was second with an 82. Weston Eckerman was third with an 84. Garek Peters of Erie was placed fourth on a scorecard playoff after finishing with the same score as Reynolds.

Jayhawk-Linn was the team champion with a 335, 36 strokes better than runner-up West Franklin. Reece Dawson of Jayhawk-Linn was the individual winner with his 72, the only score lower than 80.
