Tiger JV collects 37 medals

PITTSBURG ­-- Fort Scott High School's junior varsity track teams collected a total of 37 medals at the Pittsburg meet here Tuesday.

Girls' event winners were:

* Chelsie Monroe in the 800-meter run in 2:50.30.

* Kan Hyer and Kelsey Carpenter tied for first in high jump, clearing 4' 2".

Boys winners were:

* Devin Brooks in the 800 meters in 2:30.80 and the 3,200 in 11:42.44.

* Bailey Gire in the 3,200 in 5:35.70.

* Josh Hudiburg in discus with a throw of 112 feet, 6 inches and javelin with an effort of 141' 8".
