Kathleen Ann "Kathey" Weddle

Kathleen Ann "Kathey" Weddle, age 60 resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Friday, March 21, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Phoenix, Ariz., the daughter of John Clifton and Helen Louise Hunt Kisner. She married Ray Weddle on Oct. 11, 1991, in Miami, Okla. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She was a member of the Community Christian Church where she enjoyed helping with the M.O.P.S. program.

Survivors include her husband Ray of the home; a son, Stewart Stone, Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Serena Starkey, Florida; a step-son, Steven Weddle, Fort Scott; a step-daughter, Lisa Nation, Fort Scott; her mother, Helen Kisner, Abilene, Texas; two brothers, Bill Kisner and wife Naheed, San Diego, Calif., and John Kisner, Moncks Corner, S.C.; a sister, Sandy Young and husband C.H., Hornersville, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a niece, Francis Kisner.

Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Community Christian Church. Cremation will follow. Private family burial will take place at a later date in the Lath Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
