Fort Scott (4-0) rallied from an 8-0 deficit by scoring 12 runs in the top of the fourth after the first two batters struck out and flew out to center field.

Evangel scored first in the bottom of the first. Fort Scott tied it in the top of the second when Kolby Greenslade drove in Jake Harvey with a single.

Parker O'Dell was brought in as a courtesy runner for the catcher, Harvey. Dalton Rook then singled to right, driving in Oakes and Taylor to tie the score at 8-8. Greenslade and Barkley drew consecutive walks, the latter forcing in O'Dell with the go-ahead run. Griffith followed with a double to right, bringing Rook and Greenslade home. Shaffer drew another walk and Gilbert's double capped the scoring by driving in Barley and Griffith to make it 13-8.

In the top of the fifth, Greenslade's one-out single drove Harvey in and Barkley's follow-up double plated Rook and Greenslade to make it 16-8.

Evangel scored four in the bottom of the fifth. Oakes drew a one-out walk in the top of the sixth, moved to second on a groundout and scored on Harvey's single to center to make it 17-12.

Evangel scored its only run of the second game in the bottom of the first inning. The Greyhounds responded with 5 in the top of the second.

Rook led off with a walk and O'Dell was hit by a pitch. Boling attempted a sacrifice to move the runners over but was safe on an error, which allowed Rook to score. Mike Sielinski was hit by a pitch to load the bases again. Barkley singled to right to plate O'Dell and Boling. Sielinski eventually scored with the aid of two passed balls. Those bad plays and a wild pitch allowed Barkley to score.
