FSMS boys pick up three wins to close season out
Fort Scott Middle Schools boys' basketball teams won three of four games Tuesday night as they closed out the season against Parsons at the FSMS gymnasium.
The night began with a 25-22 win for the seventh-grade "B" team, which finished the season 3-5. The Tigers rallied from a 19-14 deficit after three quarters.
Cade Gosewich led Fort Scott with 9 points. Mason Couch and Nick Deloney added 7 points each.
The seventh-grade "A" team (8-4) claimed a 46-33 win over Parsons as they outscored the Vikings 24-15 in the first half.
Matt Campbell led the Tigers with 13 points. Jordan Hall followed with 10 points.
The eighth-grade "A" team (10-2) closed out the year with a 27-23 win over Parsons. The Tigers lead 20-12 after three.
Jesse Jones led Fort Scott in scoring with 10 points. Jessie Lawrence had a team-leading total of 7 rebounds.
The eighth-grade "B" team (6-2) fell to Parsons, 23-19. Colby Page had 9 points and 5 rebounds for the Tigers.
