David E. Cullop
David E. Cullop, longtime Houston resident, was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Fort Scott, Kan., and passed away with his loving and devoted wife by his side. David was a private pilot for over 50 years and a member of EAA, and Quiet Birdmen Houston Hangar. He graduated from Fort Scott High School and Pittsburg State University with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He also enjoyed doing woodwork in his spare time. David is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary F. Cullop, and his sister, Phyllis Rice and husband Dennis, nephews Barry Rice (Lynn) and Jason Rice. A visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with a service celebrating his life at 3 p.m. Concluding services David will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
