UJH 8th grade girls win twice

Results of recent games played by Uniontown Junior High's girls' basketball teams:

* -- Thursday, the Eagles played at Northeast Junior High in Arma. The eighth-grade team won 21-18 as Megan Smith scored 8 points and Audrey Chaplin had 6. The seventh-grade team lost in overtime by a score of 10-8. Madeyln Ard and Anna Jefferies each scored 4 points for Uniontown.

* -- Monday, the eighth-grade won at Crest, 16-15. Danielle Nading scored 8 points and Smith added 6. The seventh-grade lost 4-2 in a game that was just two quarters. Brenda Shafer scored Uniontown's only points.

Boys' results from each night have not yet been made available.

The eighth-grade team has a 2-3 record on the season while the seventh grade is 1-4.

The girls play host to Fort Scott Monday. The boys will not play that day.
