Hall's 21 leads 'Hounds past Eagle JV

FAYETTE, Mo. -- C.J. Hall scored a season-high 21 points as Fort Scott Community College's mens' basketball team took a 78-52 victory over the Central Methodist University junior varsity here Wednesday night.

The Greyhounds, who improved to 3-4, led 46-26 at the half. They shot 45 percent from the field, making 27 of 60 field-goal attempts. Hall was 8 of 11 overall from the field and 5 of 7 from 3-point range.

Fort Scott also connected on 9 of 19 3-point tries and 15 of 19 free throws.

Mabor Gabriel hauled down 9 rebounds for the 'Hounds while Prince Samuels came down with 8. Fort Scott had 33 rebounds for the night.

Gabriel added 13 points and Samuels chipped in with 10.

No statistics were available for the Eagles except for that they had just 22 rebounds.

The Greyhounds will host Penn Valley, Mo., Saturday at 3 p.m. at Arnold Arena. This will be the first of two meetings this season between the schools. They will also face each other on the second day of Penn Valley's classic at 4 p.m. November 30 in Kansas City, Mo.
