Hundreds of Zombies raise thousands of dollars

The Zombie Chase on Sept. 13 sponsored by the United Way of Bourbon County raised more than $12,000 for its partner agencies.

The night event at Gunn Park drew 411 participants from 35 different communities and had 50 volunteers, according to an event organizer, Jared Leek. Because of the success of this event, the $100,000 goal was reached for the 2012-2013 United Way Campaign.

Members of the fundraising committee were Jared Leek, Tom Gorman, Kathi Plain, Jodi Johnson, Melissa Wise and Gina Findley.
