Local law enforcement authorities are searching for a local man wanted for aggravated assault and other alleged offenses.

According to information released Tuesday by the Fort Scott Police Department and Bourbon County Sheriff's Office, officials are looking for 37-year-old Frank L. Miller, who is wanted for aggravated assault, fleeing and eluding officers and criminal threat.

Acting Bourbon County Sheriff Bill Martin said Miller is wanted on bench warrants for those charges.

FSPD Chief Travis Shelton said Tuesday that local police have received some tips that Miller may be in Crawford County.

"He has a reputation for fleeing police," Shelton said. "We don't want to get anybody hurt."

According to the information provided by authorities, MIller is 6-feet tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

Both departments are encouraging anyone with information on Miller's whereabouts to contact the FSPD at (620) 223-1700 or the BBSO at 223-1440.
