Margaret Louise White

Margaret Louise White, age 83, resident of Hutchinson, Kan., died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born April 3, 1930, in Arcadia, Kan., the daughter of Truman Ballard and Sally Mae Stroud Ballard. Her first marriage was to Clifford Roufs. He preceded her in death. She then married Robert "Bob" White. He also preceded her in death. She worked as a LEAP supervisor for Kansas SRS, from which she retired. In her earlier years, Margaret enjoyed painting. She also loved going for rides and feeding the ducks and geese at the local park.

Survivors include a daughter, Antionette Roufs, Hutchinson, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Pam Roufs, Mapleton, Kan.; a brother, Denny Ballard and wife Judy, Springfield, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Marcella Timmins, Fort Scott; three grandchildren, Nick White, Jill Roufs, and Antoinette Omundson; and two great grandchildren, Jaylen and Jayda Roufs. Also surviving are four nephews, Butch, Mick, and David Ballard, Jerry Cook; and a niece, Nancy Bigsby. Besides her two husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deborah Ann Roufs; a son Buddy Roufs; and a brother, Bill Ballard.

Pastor Luke Helmulth will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
