Geraldine Ray

Geraldine Ray, age 71, former resident of Fort Scott, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Serenity Hospice House in Victor, N.Y. She was born July 24, 1941, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Gerald Forrester and Velma Hazlett Forrester. Geraldine was a 1959 graduate of Fort Scott High School. She married Raymond Ray in March of 1989. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2003. She was retired from working in food service at nursing homes.

Survivors include one son, Steven Carrol Householder, Pittsburg, Kan., and one daughter, Eunice Christine Smith, Farmington, N.Y. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Householder.

Following cremation, private family burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel.
