Fort Scott Legion team splits double-header

The Fort Scott American Legion team's season is underway.

The team split a baseball double-header with Chanute and dropped a pair to Iola.

With a mix of returning veterans and newcomers, including new coach Jared Brown and assistants Luke Brown and Jeff DeLaTorre, the Fort Scott team will play an 11-date regular season, then take part in tournament play beginning July 11.
