County Commissioners review goals for departments

With not quite half the year gone, Bourbon County Commissioners took time out Monday to meet with county department heads to assess where each department is on completing 2013 goals the board set at the start of the year.

Among those goals was hosting the March 21 17-county meeting at Fort Scott Community College. Commission Chairman Allen Warren thanked county supervisors for their help in making the event a success.

Under the direction of Commissioner Barbara Albright, commissioners also decided to prepare a monthly calendar to be distributed electronically and or in hard copy for each county employee. The calendar will include significant dates and deadlines for each department in the county.
