Local women got a chance Thursday night to enjoy various dance performances as well as learn a little more about specific health problems for women of all ages during Mercy Hospital's "Day of Dance" at Fort Scott Middle School.

The Day of Dance, which was sponsored by Mercy's Spirit of Women program, featured the talents of local dance performers, including Fort Scott High School dancers Karleigh Arndt, Bailie Brown, Jensen Nielson, Katie Gorman and Peyton Quick, who performed dance routines from the 1920s and also led the audience in an interactive routine to the popular 70s song "YMCA."
