Margaret McLaughlin

Margaret McLaughlin, 83, of Fort Scott, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott. She was born Aug. 15, 1929 in Deerfield, Mo. the daughter of George Stewart and Edna Sara (White) McLaughlin.

Margaret was a member of Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the St. Anne's Altar Society. She retired from The Western Insurance Company after 39 years.

Margaret is survived by a sister-in-law, Loretta McLaughlin of Topeka, Kan. and numerous friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Catherine McLaughlin, and Elizabeth Roberts; three brothers, George McLaughlin, Francis McLaughlin, and Bill McLaughlin, and a nephew, Patrick McLaughlin.

Father Robert Wachter will celebrate the funeral mass 10 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with burial following in the Pleasanton Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed Sunday evening April 28, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
