Dave Regan Memorial tourney set for June 1

The 10th Annual Dave Regan Memorial Softball Tournament will be held June 1 at Ellis Park. All proceeds go toward funding the Dave Regan Tiger Tough Scholarship, which is awarded every year to a Fort Scott High School senior who has overcome adversity in order to attend college.

The tournament is a men's slow-pitch tournament with pool play in the morning and a championship round in the afternoon. Each team will be guaranteed a set number of games, depending on how many teams enter.

Softballs will be provided. The field will be limited to 16 teams. The entry fee is $150 per team. A silent auction with autographed memorabilia from several Major League Baseball players will run throughout the day. The champion and runner-up teams will receive custom T-shirts and the champions will receive an official MLB baseball autographed by Adam LaRoche, Fort Scott High graduate and first baseman for the Washington Nationals.
