Three Eagles picked by TRL coaches

Three Uniontown players were picked by Three Rivers League coaches in voting for the All-League basketball teams last week.

Senior Brenton Esslinger was one of five seniors and six players voted to the boys' First Team. Hayden Rathbun was a First Team pick for the girls while DaNicha Robinson was selected to the second team.

Joining Esslinger on the boys' first team are unanimous picks Kyle Hammond of Crest and Jake O'Brien of St. Paul, both seniors. Also picked were seniors Jordan Morton of Crest and Austin Coleman of Jayhawk-Linn and junior Austen Sanders of Chetopa.

The Second Team has seniors Paul Schibi and Anthony Diskin of St. Paul and Cole Becker of Marmaton Valley, juniors Tag Oldham of Oswego and Brice Riddle of Chetopa and freshman Noah Popejoy of Northeast.

Honorable Mention went to Pleasanton senior Preston Coffman, Crest junior Brock Ellis, St. Paul senior Brayden Beachner, Chetopa sophomore Derrick Cassell and Oswego senior Zac Dickerson and junior Brant Yeoman.

With Rathbun on the girls First Team are Jayhawk-Linn's Baylea White, the only unanimous pick, Oswego's Bricynn Bager, St. Paul's Kacie Phillips, and Pleasanton's Autumn Secrest.

On the Second Team with Robinson are Pleasanton's Karesa Kewis, Jayhawk's Bailey Wilson, Oswego's Jaymie Nesbitt, St. Paul's Josie Albertini, and Northeast's Kaylee Bogina.

The Honorable Mention picks were Sydney Dent of Pleasanton, Sydney Pemberton of Oswego, Kailey Boyd of Marmaton Valley and Nikki Sears of St. Paul.
