Payne-Ashlock engagement

Wilson Payne and Amanda Ashlock

Charles Ashlock and Brenda Cary of El Dorado Springs, Mo., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Ashlock to Wilson Payne.

The prospective groom is the son of Gene and Nancy Payne of Fort Scott. The wedding is planned for March 16 at First Christian Church, El Dorado Springs.

Amanda is a 2007 graduate of El Dorado Springs High School. She graduated from Pittsburg State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

Wilson is a 2003 graduate of Fort Scott High School. He graduated in 2005 from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor's degree in history. He deployed to Afghanistan from February 2011 to October 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
