Laura May "Granny" Graham, age 99, resident of Uniontown, Kan., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Fort Scott Manor.

She was born May 17, 1913, in Canton, Okla., the daughter of John William Henrie and Ida Maria Brandly Henrie.

She married Edgar Henry Graham on March 5, 1934, in Pueblo, Colo. They later divorced. Laura worked as lunch room manager for the Uniontown Grade School from 1963 to 1973. She later worked for the Marmaton Valley Nursing Home from 1976 to 1991.

She loved to cook and bake. She especially enjoyed her Thursday "Pitch Parties" with her friends She was honored to be the Grand Marshall of the 2012 Old Settlers Parade. She was always looking forward to something and treated everyone with respect and love.

She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown.

Survivors include one son, Edgar Graham Jr. and wife Nancy, Assaria, Kan.; three daughters, Ruth Townsley, Fort Scott, Kan., Betty Oharah and husband Jerry, Uniontown, Kan., and Nancy Corrao and husband Patrick, Edgefield, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Joseph, Clarence "Jim," Ray, and George Henrie; and a grandson, Christopher Graham.

Rev. Marty DeWitt will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown. Burial will follow in the Uniontown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
