FSCC music performance set for Sunday

Fort Scott Community College instructor Gregory Turner will present a program titled "A Christmas Killjoys" at 3 p.m. Nov. 18.

This performance will include the FSCC choir as well as the chamber orchestra. The first half of the performance will consist of the choir singing traditional popular and sacred Christmas songs related to the "downside" of Christmas. During the second half of the performance, the chamber orchestra will play familiar Christmas works ranging from Broadway and television to the movies. The performance will conclude with combined choir and orchestral performances of "Christmas on Broadway" and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus."

This performance is free and open to the public in the theater of the FSCC Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center.
