Snyder graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman Nicholas E. Snyder graduated Oct. 26 from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Nicholas (Cole) is the son of Dale Snyder of Fort Scott, Kan., and Carol Nelson Snyder of Fulton, Ill.

He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Nicholas is a 2012 graduate of Fort Scott High School.
