'Genealogy: A Guide to Your Past' slated Saturday

The Old Fort Genealogy Society will present several programs Saturday in the Round Room of the academic building at Fort Scott Community College, 2108 S. Horton. Registration for the free conference starts at 9:30 a.m.
A schedule follows:
* 10 a.m.: "How to Begin a Family Project," a program by Helen Lodge, a Nevada genealogist.
* 11 a.m.: "Instructions to Research a Census," presented by Nancy Patterson of Fort Scott.
* 1 p.m.: "How to Begin a DAR Project," Marlys Hankins, Kansas State DAR organizing secretary.
* 2 p.m. "Indian Heritage in Our Area," by Floyd Feezel, Fort Scott.
