SHAWN J. PYNE

Shawn J. Pyne, 49 years old, died peacefully at Woodland Terrace Nursing Center on Aug. 6, 2012. Shawn had been in the loving care and companionship of family, friends and Hospice of Volusia/Flagler since August of 2011. Throughout his illness Shawn maintained a strong faith, his sense of humor and appreciation for family and friends.
Shawn was born July 8, 1963, in Deland, Fla. Shawn moved with his family to Willard, Ohio, in 1971 and then to Fort Scott, Kan., in 1977. Shawn graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1981 and returned to Florida. He worked with his father at Coy's Well Drilling for many years before moving to the St. Petersburg, Fla., area and starting his own company, Hardknocks Well Drilling.
Shawn was known as "Sunshine Daddy" to daughter, Mikayla H. Ruhland. He loved her so much and she has always made him proud!! Mikayla currently lives in Westminster, S.C., and is a sophomore at West-Oak High School.
Shawn is survived by his father, Coy J. Rainey, sister, Joanne (Mrs. Jeff) Ricci both of Deland, Fla.; brothers, Bill and John Pyne of Overland Park, Kan., and Coy J. Rainey Jr., of Orange City, Fla.
Shawn will be placed at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kan., beside his Mother, Marilyn J. Pyne who passed March 25, 2012.
