FSCC all-star games scheduled for Sunday
The Fort Scott Community College women's and men's basketball teams will host the Second Annual Pechone Stepps Senior All-Star Girls and Boys Basketball Games Sunday at Arnold Arena.
The games are for high-school seniors. According to FSCC men's head coach Michael Cook, the boys' contest will include 10 players who have committed to playing for the Greyhounds next season. Among them are Fort Scott High School graduates Daniel Durbin, Tyler Adams and Kyle Altic. Others who have signed include Lloyd Young from Shawnee Mission South, Jordan Wells of McDonald County, Mo., Jason Stoneking from Anderson County, Kevin House and De'Onte Ogles from Putnam City (Okla.) North, Jimmy Hoskins from Richmond-Central Heights, and C.J. Hall from Gardner-Edgerton.
Others appearing in the game include Uniontown's Zach Travis, Robert Kuns and Seth Sympson and Pittsburg's Jornell Fondren and Jalen King.
Five women's basketball signees are on the girls' rosters provided by new FSCC women's head coach Katie Reihmann: Malori Gales from Lyndon, D'Shawna Lee from Olathe East, Danica Kally from Girard, Hanna Myers from Liberal, Mo., and Rebecca Fisher from Osawatomie. Also listed on the rosters are Uniontown's Hope Jurgensen, who will be attending Allen Community College on a softball scholarship, and Chanute's Danielle Rubow who has signed with Fort Scott to play volleyball.
The girls game will begin at 2 p.m. with the boys game starting at 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
