Preschool screenings scheduled

The Fort Scott Preschool Center will be hosting preschool screenings for children up to the age of 5 years in the USD 234 district on May 4.

Screenings can potentially locate and identify children with developmental delays who may need special education preschool or related services, a news release said.

Children may have vision, hearing, speech and communication, motor skills, and general development screened.

Deadline for scheduling a screening appointment is Friday.

Appointments may be made Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by calling Darlinda Harris at Fort Scott Preschool Center, (620) 223-8965.
