KATHERINE MAE LEWIS
Katherine Mae Lewis, 54, of Greenfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1957, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Albert Lee and Francis Beerbower.
Kathy married Perry Leon Lewis July 27, 1974, in Fort Scott, Kan. They moved to Greenfield Jan. 20, 1989.
Kathy was co-owner with her husband of K&P Flea Market in Greenfield. Everyone who met her will always remember her laugh. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald Beerbower and a brother-in-law, Tim Lewis.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Perry, of the home; two sons, Charles Lewis and wife Lavada of Lamar, and Steven Lewis and wife, Tiffany, of Greenfield; daughter Stacey Bergthold and husband, Tony of Greenfield; brother, Larry Beerboewer of Pittsburg; sister Connie Findley and husband, John of Fort Scott; sister-in-law Teresa Cozart and husband Brian of Little Rock, Ark.; sister-in-law Peggy Lewis of Fort Scott; father-in-law Auston Lewis of Greenfield; eight grandchildren, Shea, Dava, Blain and Kylee Lewis, Dominic Bergthold, Keaton Jones, Sabrina and Jodie Lewis.
Services were held Sunday, April 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Main Street Baptist Church, Greenfield, with brother Harold McMasters officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery, Everton, under the direction of Birch Funeral Home of Ash Grove.
