BEN WILLIAM GREENFIELD
Ben William Greenfield, 63, resident of Irving, Texas, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Elmcroft Hospice Center in Irving.
He was born July 27, 1948, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Ben C. Greenfield Jr. and Florence Dolores Hord Greenfield.
Ben was a purchasing agent with a heating and air conditioning division of a construction business. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He was known for his singing voice. He loved all sports, especially football, and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Greenfield, Grand Prairie, Texas, Carey Greenfield, Fort Worth Texas, and Samantha Greenfield, Irving, Texas; three sisters, Pamela Marshall, Homosassa, Fla., Rhonda Nelson, Irving, Texas and Eileen Marshall, Krum, Texas.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Raymond Hurst and Skyla Kellum. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Chuck Russell will conduct funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Cheney Witt Chapel.
Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery, Fort Scott. Military honors will be provided by the Olson Frary Burkhart Post No. 1165 V.F.W.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel.
