Wimmer among KU fall graduates

The names of more than 1,600 candidates for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Kansas have been announced by the university registrar. One of those is Joseph Phillip Wimmer of Fulton.

He was awarded a master of arts in geography. He is the son of Phil and Nancy Wimmer.

Graduate and undergraduate degrees are conferred in December based on work completed in the fall semester. Because KU conducts only one formal commencement each year, many students graduating in the fall or summer terms will return Sunday, May 13, for the traditional walk down the Hill into Memorial Stadium for the ceremony.
