Garden club meets

Fort Scott Garden Club held its March meeting at the home of Marie Wiley Monday evening.

Eight members were present with all wearing green for the St. Patrick's holiday. Each member brought something green in a bag for roll call. Gifts ranged from seeds to plant stakes to wind chimes.

Business discussed included upcoming plant/garage sale in May along with an arboretum trip in late spring.

Marie shared a photo of her pineapple plant blooming, along with other spring flowers discussed.

April's meeting will be held at the home of Pam Korinek at 6:30 p.m. on April 14.

New members are encouraged to attend, especially with the garden/flower season soon approaching.
