Bronson Order of the Eastern Star gathers
The Bronson Chapter No. 65 Order of the Eastern Star met Wednesday, March 14, for a regular meeting with 12 officers present including Worthy Matron Ednamarie Jackson and Worthy Patron Glenn Smith in the East.
The Charter was draped for past Grand Matron Maryln Jenson by Marshal Elvis Reeder.
On April 7, the Masons are having a carry-in dinner at 6 and then they will be presenting certificates and emblems to Elvis Reeder, Danny Shinn and Kenneth Joe Bacon. Bring a covered dish and join the celebration.
Invitations were read for a silent auction and for installation of officers at Olive Charter on March 31. Election of officers and installation will be held.
Glenn reported Retta's leg is better, but her knee still gives out on her and she has a bad cough. Linda reported Larry has influenza. Julia Ann reported Bill had a second shot in his back and is better. Bonita has a bad cough.
On April 14, the city of Bronson is planning to have a fundraiser meal to help put up swings in the Bronson park destroyed by bigger kids.
Worthy Patron's closing thought was what kind of shoes do you make from banana skins? Slippers.
