Cost-share sign-up scheduled
Bourbon County Conservation District administers a state cost-share program designed to conserve soil and protect water resources.
The district will conduct a sign-up for cost share funds beginning Wednesday, Feb. 8, and continuing through March 31. These funds will be available for use after July 1, 2012, a news release said.
Bourbon County landowners with natural resource concerns on their property are encouraged to visit the office during the sign-up to discuss solutions and possible state financial assistance, the release said.
For more details about the program or sign-up period, call (620) 223-3170, ext. 28, or stop by the office at 1515 S. Judson, Suite B. Funding is provided by the State Conservation Commission through an appropriation from the Kansas Water Plan Fund, the release said.
