Thursday, January 5, 2012

Bronson Order of the Eastern Star club members met Dec. 6 at the home of host and President Julia Ann Rhoton for their covered dish Christmas luncheon. The regular meeting was called to order with Geri Reeder leading the collect and Ednamarie Jackson the flag salute.

The thought was "Do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself."

Eight members answered roll call by telling "the best Christmas gift I received as a child."

The club voted to donate $25 to the Bourbon County Sheriff's Toys for Christmas Fund. Secretary Erma Eastwood gave her report and Treasurer Geri Reeder reported on funds remaining.

Following the pal exchange, the club presented President Rhoton with a gift.

The group fixed Christmas cards and boxes of Kleenex for those in nursing homes from Bronson. Erma Eastwood gave the program "Christmas Story" by Kathryn Ann Porter and a story by Baxter Black.

The next meeting will be March 6 at the home of Ednamarie Jackson. Everyone should wear something green.
