Wilma Arletta Zimmerman, 82, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott. She was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Fairview, Okla., the daughter of Albert Cornelius Turner and Elsie Mae Ake Turner.

She married Enos Zimmerman on July 19, 1948, at the Zimmerman family farm east of Hepler, Kan. She enjoyed painting and sewing. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Enos, of the home; four sons, Doyle Zimmerman and wife Rebecca, Fort Scott, Donathan Zimmerman and wife Ruth, Tolar, Texas, David Zimmerman and wife Teresa and Darel Zimmerman and wife Crystal, all of Fort Scott.

Also surviving are a brother, Donald Turner, Longdale, Okla.; three sisters, Ramona Doane, Ringwood, Okla., Doris Brewer, Edmond, Okla., and Linda Butler of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Turner.

Pastor Larry Stevicks will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family receivedd friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
