FSCC hosting annual Greyhound Run

Fort Scott Community College is hosting the second annual Greyhound Run on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Fort Scott High School. Participants may fill out preregistration forms at fortscott.edu/students/activities/greyrun.

Race day registration will be from 7:15 a.m.-7:45 a.m. in front of the stadium. The 5k and 2-mile fun walk will begin at 8 a.m., and the 1-mile Kids' Run will be at 9 a.m. The 1-mile Kids' Run (12 years and under) will be a new feature this year. Kids will run with Gizmo, the FSCC mascot.

Shirts will be given to the first 75 entrants, and awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, along with the top three in each age category. Following the race, participants are invited to join in the 2011 FSCC Homecoming activities, which begin at 11 a.m. at Fort Scott High School.

Preregistration is $10, if participants sign up by 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21. After that date, registration is $15. Forms may be mailed to Maria Bahr, Fort Scott Community College, 2108 S. Horton, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
