Chamber After-hours event set Thursday
Midwestern Holdings LLC and Landmark National Bank invite chamber members to a Chamber After-hours event at the Fort Scott Professional Building from 5:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. The event will feature a wine and cheese tasting in addition to other offerings.
David Gibson of Midwestern Holdings LLC would like to thank the city of Fort Scott, Bourbon County Economic Development Council and Kansas Social Rehabilitative Services for their combined efforts in maintaining a local SRS office in Fort Scott following a preceding announcement of consolidation and closing of nine locations, a news release said.
The Fort Scott SRS office is a tenant of the Fort Scott Professional Building, which is owned and operated by Midwestern Holdings. The building houses several other businesses, including Hudson & Mullies law firm, LifeTouch Photography, Choices Psychological and Foxx Apothecary.
To help promote economic growth, Midwestern Holdings is currently offering any business that moves into the building three months of free rent. Anyone interested in space available at the Fort Scott Professional Building, 710 W. Eighth St., can visit www.fortscottprofessionalbldg.com, or contact the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce at (620) 223-3566.
