Parade theme ideas wanted

Christmas is right around the corner and so is the Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival in Downtown Fort Scott.

The parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce would like submissions for a theme for this year's parade.

Ideas may be submitted through the chamber website www.fortscott.com "Contact" page, or submitted in writing to the Chamber office. Deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 12, and the winner will be awarded a $25 downtown shopping spree.
