Results of Boubon County 4-H members at Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson
Results from the Kansas State Fair at Hutchinson showed Bourbon County 4-H'ers receiving 11 Purple Ribbons, 19 Blue Ribbons, 14 Red Ribbons, one White Ribbon and eight Participation on their exhibits.
Purple Ribbon winners were: Clothing and Textiles, Christin Guilfoyle, Northeast Scott 4-H; Dog Junior Showmanship, Hannah Hughes, Northeast Scott; 4-H Fashion Revue, Taylor Bailey, Pawnee; Foods and Nutrition, Austin Bahr, Northwest Scott; Kendall Madison, Northeast Scott; Heather Readinger, Barnstormers; Kalen Simpson, Hiattville; Horticulture Large Vegetable Specimen, Dacey Simpson, Pawnee; Horticulture Notebook, John Emmerson, Northeast Scott; Photography, Drew George, Uniontown; Shooting Sport Educational Display, Katie Brown, Pawnee.

Items held for display only, and not for judging at the Kansas State Fair were: 4-H Visual Arts, Amber Bartlett, Uniontown 4-H; Katie Brown, Pawnee; Chance Fuhrman, Barnstormers; Dawson Minor, Northeast Scott; and Heather Readinger, Barnstormers. Banners exhibited were Northeast Scott 4-H Club and Uniontown 4-H Club.
Those chosen for special awards: Kelcie Bailey, Pawnee 4-H Club and Mary Gladbach, Northeast Scott 4-H had photography chosen to represent Bourbon County for the 4-H Foundation Selection and Taylor Bailey's photo was selected for the Photo Traveling Collection. Amber Bartlett's Visual Arts Exhibit was chosen to be displayed at Rock Springs.
Bourbon County 4-H members placing in Horse Show are as follows: Cole George, Uniontown 4-H, second in Team Roping, third in Breakaway Roping and fifth in Reining; Hannah Hughes, Northwest Scott 4-H, fourth in three years and under mares class and ninth in barrel racing; Lily Zimmerman, Pawnee 4-H, Reserve Champion four and older Stock-type Gelding and second in the Costume Class; Drew George, Uniontown 4-H, also participated.
Placings for the livestock show at the Kansas State Fair are as follows: Kendall Madison, Northeast Scott 4-H, exhibited the Grand Champion Duroc market hog. She also was sixth in her class of dark crossbred market hogs.
Lauren Madison, of the Northeast Scott 4-H Club, placed second in her class of Duroc breeding gilts and eighth with her dark crossbred market hog.
Danielle Nading, Uniontown 4-H, was first in class with her commercial breeding gilt and second in the All Other Breeds gilt class.
Haley Ruggles, Northeast Scott 4-H, stood fifth in an All Other Breeds market lamb class and sixth in a class of Hampshire market lambs.
Dylan Ruggles, Northeast Scott, was fifth in his class of crossbred market lambs while Aubry Ruggles was 11th in her class of Hampshire market lambs.
