Redistricting meetings scheduled

The Special Committee on Redistricting will hold public hearings at the following dates, times and locations:

July 26: Wichita State University, Hughes Metropolitan Hall Complex, Room 132, enter on the east side of the building at Entrance C. Times are 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

July 26: Hutchinson Community College, Shears Technology Center Justice Theatre. Times are 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

July 27: Kansas State University-Salina, College Center Conference Room, Salina. Times are 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

July 27: Kansas State University, Fiedler Hall, Room 1107, Manhattan. Times are 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

Aug. 2: Neosho County Community College, Sanders Hall Auditorium, Chanute. Times are 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Aug. 2: Pittsburg State University, Wilkinson Alumni Center, lower level. Hours are 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

All those wishing to present testimony should contact Corey Carnahan, Kansas Legislative Research Department, at (785) 296-3181 at least 24 hours in advance of the applicable meeting.

In addition to the meetings listed above, the Special Committee on Redistricting will host public hearings in Overland Park and Lawrence on Sept. 2; Kansas City and Leavenworth on Sept. 30; Dodge City and Garden City on Oct. 19; and Colby and Hays on Oct. 20. The details for these remaining meetings will be released at least two weeks in advance of the meeting date.
