Medicalodges of Fort Scott nurses and local nursing students do the Hokey-Pokey in the parking lot Tuesday morning during a Flag Day celebration. The staff members along with 23 residents enjoyed the break in the weather to sing patriotic songs and enjoy coffee and doughnuts. Flags fly in honor of Flag Day on Tuesday at the intersection of National and East National avenues. The intersection begins the Avenue of Flags which line the north and south sides of East National Avenue from National Avenue into the Fort Scott National Cemetery No. 1 with hundreds of American flags.(Michael Pommier/Tribune)
