Shepherd Team names Travis to lead GM division

Robert K. Tersinar, general manager of Ray Shepherd Motors Inc. has announced the appointment of Tim Travis as General Motors Division Sales Manager.

Travis will be assuming responsibility for all aspects of the Shepherd Team Chevrolet, Buick and GMC sales operation located at 1901 S. Main, Fort Scott. Travis, a Fort Scott resident and 12-year Shepherd Team employee, began his automotive career in 1999 after 20 years in corporate insurance.

He was an instrumental part of the first Shepherd internet sales department, later moving to business manager where he spent 10 years.

"We are excited for Tim to lead the Chevrolet, Buick and GMC divisions. His long-tenure here at the dealership means he knows thousands of our customers," David R. Shepherd, president, said. "He will do a great job."

Travis lives in rural Fort Scott with his wife Kerri and children Tyler, Zachary and Hannah.
