Cardiologist to conduct outpatient clinic at Mercy Medical Plaza
Cardiologist Dr. Jose De Hoyos has annouced that beginning today (Thursday, March 31), he will see patients every other Thursday at Mercy Medical Plaza, 902 S. Horton.
De Hoyos is affiliated with St. John's Heart Care in Joplin, Mo.
"Making care easier is important to me as a physician," De Hoyos said in a news release. "Even though I'm based in Joplin, I'm happy to be serving patients from Southeast Kansas closer to their home."
De Hoyos received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, and completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
He also completed a cardiology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and interventional cardiology post-graduate work at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Two of De Hoyos' partners, Dr. William Craig and Dr. Shawn Sabapathy, also see patients at Mercy Medical Plaza.
