11 area players receive All-TRL mention
Eleven players from Uniontown and Pleasanton were honored by the Three Rivers League with spots on the All-League basketball teams.
Uniontown senior Breanna Esslinger was one of three unanimous selections to the All-TRL girls First Team. The other two are Uniontown senior Morgan Westhoff and St. Paul senior Kali Ketterman.
Also on the First Team are Uniontown junior Hope Jurgensen, Pleasanton senior Johnnea Saulsberry, Oswego junior Kenzie Nesbitt and sophomore Jami Nesbitt, St. Paul senior Ashley Stein, Marmaton Valley senior Maggie Meiwes, Northeast senior Lina Hensley, Chetopa senior Linsey Pease, and Altoona-Midway sophomore Nichole Lacrone.
The girls' Honorable Mention list includes Uniontown's Tayler Shook and Pleasanton's Teal Baker, Karesa Lewis and Autumn Secrest. Also on the team are Altoona-Midway's Kelsey Spears, Marmaton Valley's Chyanne Miller, Northeast's Khristen Dwyer and Shelby Lehman, Oswego's Sydney Pemberton and Bricynn Johnson and St. Paul's Kacie Phillips and Erin Tuck.
Uniontown's Brenton Esslinger was the area's only representative on the boys' First Team. Seniors Lane Martin and Hunter Cline of Oswego and Tyler Comes of St. Paul were unanimous picks. Rounding out the team are Crest's Kyle Hammond and Jordon Morton, Northeast's Chase Cleland and Aaron Leroy, Oswego's Ryan Shields, Chetopa's Ryan Bruning, St. Paul's Willie Westhoff and Marmaton Valley's Dalton Houk.
Uniontown's Zach Travis and Pleasanton's Joey Morrisey and Reid Hein were named to the Honorable Mention team along with Oswego's Ryan Schenker, Kyle Wimp and Zack Garcia, Crest's Dexter Wiley and Luke Decker, Altoona-Midway's Cody Boles, Andy DeNoon and Trenton Engleman, Northeast's Austin Bogina, Jesse Rich and J.T. Richardson, St. Paul's D.J. Vitt, Marmaton Valley's Zach Louk and Chetopa's Kyle Darnell.
