FSCC Harley program plans poker run
The Fort Scott Community College Harley-Davidson Technology Training Center will host a SkillsUSA Poker Run on Saturday, April 2.
This event will help raise funds for the FSCC Harley-Davidson Training Center SkillsUSA Program. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue until 12:30 p.m. The first bike will start at noon and the last bike out will be at 1 p.m. The ride is about 100 miles.
The ride starts at the center in Frontenac.
If the weather is clear, the ride will start at the Harley Center, go to McCune, Crestline, Bill's Cycle in Pittsburg and back to the Harley school. Several bad weather routes are planned.
The first starts at the Harley school, then goes to Girard, Crestline, Bill's Cycle and back to the school.
The second bad weather route starts at the Harley center, then goes to Girard, Cherokee, back to U.S. 69 and to the center. The third bad weather alternative goes to Girard, Pittsburg, down to Kansas Highway 126, then to the junction with U.S. 69 and back to the Harley school.
All vehicles are welcome during the event. There will be prizes available for the best and worst hand and more. Prizes will be awarded at 4 p.m.
The suggested donation is $5 per hand. Participants who buy five hands will receive a sixth hand free of charge.
